Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.The Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection System mentioned in the last October 2024 Dev Notes will be implemented during the November 13 update.We understand that many of our CEOs have eagerly anticipated this system, so we would like to explain it in more detail before the update.The Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection System is a mileage system in which our CEOs can receive an ensured selection opportunity based on the number of tuning and set binaries used.The mileage will accumulate based on the total number of tuning and set binaries used on any gear, not as an individual mileage accumulation for each gear.The mileage is purely based on the number of tuning and set binaries our CEOs have used. The accumulation is not affected by whatever option our CEOs have received from the gear tuning or the grade of gear our CEOs have used the binaries on, and so forth. Keep in mind that tuning binaries used on Gear Precision will not count.The ensured selection opportunity for the gear and set option is granted when our CEOs use 500 or more tuning and set binaries, and the number exceeding 500 will be reflected in the mileage count for the next selection.Moreover, if the cumulative mileage reaches 500 during the gear and set option change, CEOs will not be able to make additional changes until confirming or canceling the option. We have summarized the information provided above for your reference.▣ Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection SystemEnsured Selection will activate when 500 tuning and set binaries are usedTuning Binaries spent on Gear Precision will not count toward the mileageMileage is accumulated as a total binary usage, not individually for each gearMileage is purely based on the number of tuning and set binaries used, regardless of other factorsMileage accumulation exceeding 500 at the activation point is reflected in the cumulative count for the next activationExample: If you use 12 set binaries for a tier 7 gear option change when the mileage count is 494, the next set binary usage count will start from 6.No additional tuning and set binaries can be used when the system is activatedAfter activating the system, CEOs can proceed with the next ensured selection accumulation after confirming or canceling the current optionThe option currently held by the gear is locked and cannot be selectedA kind reminder that the number of tuning and set binaries used before the system update will not be reflected, as mentioned in the previous developer's note. [ Mainstream EP.12 Garden of Memories ] In the upcoming Mainstream EP. 12, with the support of Lotus Senior the Administrator will venture into the Northern Union. As the Administrator seeks to uncover the countless remnants of past Administration Failure and the memories of the Valkyries hidden beneath Ground Zero’s Counterside, they must navigate the treacherous territory of the Northern Union, a hostile faction of the Administration.This new episode promises to unravel the past story of the Administration Failure and Hilde sheds light on the enigmatic hostile force, the Brothers Abandoned.[ New Awakened Employee - Red Witch Felix ]A new awakened employee, [Red Witch Felix] will be released along with the Mainstream EP. 12, Garden of Memories.Felix is a Soldier with a Tower role who utilizes various types of summons and can contribute to securing the team's air superiority.◆ Red Witch Felix[ Cafe Strega 2nd Anniversary Event ]In November, Cafe Strega will hold its 2nd anniversary event.As part of this event, a new skin for Ingrid Johanna will be added, following the previously released skins for Evelyn Keller and Yuna Springfield.Additionally, for CEOs who cannot visit Cafe Strega's 2nd branch in person, in-game furniture from the actual cafe is created to collect. Using this new furniture, you can now enjoy the atmosphere of Cafe Strega's 2nd branch in the game.◆ Ingrid Johanna◆ Cafe Strega Interior Set [ Maze Gear Acquisition Increase ]CounterSide features various gear, including normal gear, Shadow Palaces, Raid, limited gear like Maze gear, and Relic gear, where CEOs need to equip different gear to suit various situations.Relic gear is generally considered as the end-game gear, but acquiring the necessary materials through Dimension Trimming to get Relic gear requires a significant level of gear to clear the stages.Additionally, while Maze gear is highly effective, it is limited in acquisition, placing a burden on CEOs to gear up.To alleviate the stress of gearing up and facilitate preparation for high-end content like Dimension Trimming, we are preparing to introduce the Maze gear crafting materials in the Shadow Palace shops for CEOs to purchase.Furthermore, we also plan to reduce the cost of crafting Maze gear using existing Dimension Cubes to lessen the burden on CEOs.We hope the increase in Maze gear acquisition will help CEOs enjoy a wider variety of content. [ Observation Mode and Draft Ban Pick Update ]Observation Mode will be introduced to the Global server very soon.The feature can be used as the following.◇ Method 1A new [Create Room] option will be added to the [Friendly Match Options]. After finishing up the options, you can create an observation room by selecting [Create Room].A unique [Observation Code] will be assigned to the created observation room. You can share this code with those who want to observe through other messaging apps.CEOs who receive the observation code can enter the [Friendly Match] as an observer after entering the code. ◇ Method 2Create an observation room by selecting from the [Friendly Match Options] and selecting [Create Room].Directly invite the opponent and observations from the [Partner] or the list of [Consortium Members].Once the opponent or observers accept the invitation, the opponent will be placed in the [Friendly Match] to prepare for the match, and the observers will be directed to an observation waiting room.Once all participants are ready and enter the match, a dedicated toggle button will be generated for observers.By clicking the target toggle button, observers can switch between the perspectives of each competitor. The initial perspective will be the left-side competitor’s perspective.Observers can leave the observation screen at any time during the match.Furthermore, we are developing a feature that allows observers to see not only the matches but also the pick-and-ban process so that you can watch the Gauntlet battles and pick-and-ban strategies of other CEOs. Additionally, we are preparing to update various improvements, such as entering HanaTalk within the observation mode and copying text. [ Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection System ]CounterSide gear features options and set options, where tuning and set binaries are required to tune these options to your desired ones. To obtain the desired options among the various options and set options attached to the gear, a large number of tuning and set binaries are consumed. Due to this, many CEOs have requested the addition of a 'pity' system that allows them to definitively change the options and set options of gear. Although the development team has continuously discussed it, it has been very difficult to modify the Gear Tuning system due to the numerous tuning and set binary items that have been used since this system was added. However, we have concluded that the fact that there is no guarantee of obtaining the desired options even when using countless tuning and set binaries can have a more negative impact on the CEOs' play experience, and decided to develop a system that allows you to select the desired options after using a certain amount of tuning and set binaries. The [Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection System] is still under development, so it is difficult to say the exact schedule and details. However, we plan to develop it in the form of mileage where you can select the desired option at a certain number of attempts, and we are trying to update it in mid-November.However, please understand that the tuning and set binaries used before the update of the [Gear & Set Option Ensured Selection System] will not be reflected because tuning and set binaries usage records are only stored for a certain period, making it difficult to take fair measures for all CEOs. [ Growth Resources Improvements ]We have received numerous suggestions from CEOs regarding the resources required for employee growth.After careful review and internal discussions, we have decided to implement the following improvements.■ Increased Entry Count for Kim Hana's Talent Cultivation Challenge (Fusion Cores)Many CEO have expressed concern about the shortage of Fusion Cores, which are essential for creating S-Fusion Cores and reaching level 110.To address this, we will increase the basic weekly entry count for Kim Hana's Talent Cultivation Challenge and allow for additional entries using Quartz.▼ Breakdown of Changes to Kim Hana's Talent Cultivation Challenge (Fusion Cores)▷ Basic weekly entry count: 9 → 12▷ Entry count recharge: 3 times/week▷ Cost per recharge: 80 Quartz▷ Additional entries per recharge: 3■ Removal of Special Catalyst from S-Fusion Core Crafting RequirementMany CEOs have expressed concern about the burden of acquiring Special Catalysts, which are required to craft S-Fusion Cores with the expansion of the maximum employee level.To reduce the burden, we will remove Special Catalysts from the crafting materials for S-Fusion Cores.■ Increased Rewards from Simulation OperationsWe have received feedback that the rewards obtained from Simulations are insufficient to meet the needs as the game has expanded and more employees have been released.Therefore, we will increase the amount of base rewards obtained from Simulations.These improvements regarding growth resources will be applied immediately through the update on October 29. Please refer to the patch notes for more details. [ New Operater - Esther Priest Jung Dain ]Jung Da-in, who has been loved by many CEOs through [Counters Saga], will return in a new form.Operator Esther Priest Jung Dain is a beautiful cleric who helps adventurers on their journey. With her skilled abilities, vast knowledge, and gentle nature, she has earned the absolute trust of her companions.Please refer to future patch notes for more detailed information.◆ Esther Priest Jung Dain [New Skins - Hero Party]In November 2024, two new skins will be added to the game.◆ Hero★Starlight - Mi Rinae ◆ Violet Witch - Jin Bora[ Balance Adjustment and Recall ]We sincerely apologize for the concerns and frustrations caused by the recent balance adjustments and recall process.We especially apologize for the negligence of some employees which significantly impacted the overall game environment and balance, and deeply regret that we failed to address the concerns raised by CEOs to correct them on time. As a result, certain employees became mandatory bans in the Ranked Gauntlet, preventing CEOs from using them and also causing the elongation of match time regardless of the result. Additionally, other employees exhibited overpowered abilities in PvE which ignored gimmicks, which diminished the enjoyment of strategic gameplay.Despite these imbalances, CEOs adapted by developing new strategies and utilizing different employees. However, the development team became so focused on the delayed balance adjustments that we neglected to appreciate the dedication and effort CEOs had invested. As a result, we hastily implemented a recall system as compensation, which fell short of expectations.We sincerely apologize for the disappointment caused by this rash decision.Furthermore, along with the recent balance patch, other significant changes brought about by the maximum employee level expansion have led to widespread disappointment. We are also deeply sorry for failing to fulfill the various promises we have made to CEOs through previous announcements.We believe that demonstrating gradual improvements is more important than making additional promises that may not be kept. Dear CEOs,This is Kim Hyun Soo, the Head PD of CounterSide.On October 16th, we made an update that consolidated the weekly entry counts for challenges previously limited to specific days. Unfortunately, an error occurred during the update process, affecting the entry counts for Chloe's Info Search (Info) and Kim Hana's Talent Cultivation (Fusion Cores) challenges. This resulted in some CEOs being able to enter these challenges with additional entries or having their entry counts reset, depending on their gameplay.We first sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused and for the inequality in-game content access that this error created.Upon internal investigation, we found that CEOs could have potentially gained up to an additional week's worth of [Info] and [Fusion Cores] due to this error.To ensure fairness among all CEOs, we will compensate all CEOs who participated in the affected challenges at least once from October 15, 14:00 to October 20, 14:00 (UTC-5). Concurrently, a recall of the affected employees is being conducted. However, due to the recent implementation of recall functions for Awakened Employees and Ships in addition to policy changes, the recall process was carried out without detailed explanations, confusing many CEOs.We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of detailed information regarding the recall process. Ahead of the second phase of the balance adjustment scheduled for October 23rd, we would like to provide a more in-depth explanation of the recall system.Going forward, the recall system in CounterSide will be divided into two main categories: Employee and Ship Recall. ▣ Employee RecallWith a Tactical Update and an increase in the number of employees obtainable from certain Substreams, the development team has added new policies and features to the existing recall system.Please note that from now on, when employees are recalled due to balance adjustments or other reasons, the following rules will apply, as shown in the table below. ▣ Ship RecallWhile it would be possible to apply the same recall system used for employees when adjusting the balance of ships, the complexities introduced by the Implant Remodeling level and the various stats of unlocked from the Command Modules necessitate implementing a new recall policy and system specifically for Ships.Please note that from this point onward, when Ships are recalled due to balance adjustments or other reasons, the following rules will apply, as shown in the table below. The development team has observed that employees' and ships' performance can vary significantly between PvP and PvE environments and differing player experiences. We initially considered a balance adjustment separately for PvP and PvE environments.However, we determined that simply separating PvP and PvE environments for balance adjustments would result in excessively complex stat and skill calculations and might not satisfy our CEOs.Therefore, for future balance adjustments, we will implement the recall policies shown above to allow CEOs to directly adjust squads in response to the changing game environment.While we believe that the new recall system with additional policies is a step in the right direction, we acknowledge that it may not be a perfect solution for all balance adjustment scenarios.We will continue to listen to the valuable feedback from our CEOs and provide advance notice and follow-up measures whenever balance adjustments are necessary.Thank you.

Her journey leads her to Lotus, a mysterious place where she encounters a counter whose memories have faded.Please look forward to the upcoming new substream![New Awakened Employee - Aditya Surya]The new Awakened employee, Aditya Surya is a defender designed to absorb damage meant for her allies and will become increasingly powerful as her health dwindles. [ New Counter Pass - Anila ]A new SSR employee, Anlia is being planned as a supporter who nullifies enemies' buffs and hinders their movement. She will be released through the Counter Pass. [ New Operator - Asha ]Operator Asha is designed to stun the opponents and simultaneously strengthen the damage output of her allies. [ 2024 Sincere Season ] The 2024 Courage Season will end on September 29, 2024, at 08:00 (UTC-5). Shortly after, the 2024 Sincere Season will begin at 14:00 (UTC-5) the same day. The Gauntlet skin for this season is for [Replacer Bishop]. As always, you can earn it by reaching the Diamond 5 league or above at the end of the season.[ Ranked Battle UP & Auto Deployment System Update ] In early September, we surveyed CEOs on both the Korean and Global servers to gather feedback on improving the Gauntlet environment in CounterSide. This survey focused on two main areas:The revamped UP systemThe Auto-deployment systemRegarding the revamped UP system, while many CEOs were satisfied with the limit on the number of employees that could receive the UP buff per Gauntlet season, there was a general consensus that removing the [Reduction of 1 Deployment Cost] effect was not satisfying.As for the Auto-deployment system, many CEOs expressed dissatisfaction with the long activation time.Based on the valuable feedback received from our CEOs, the development team will implement the following changes in the October 2nd update.Reintroduction of the [Reduction of 1 Deployment Cost] effect for employees with the UP buff.Reduction in the activation time for the Auto-deployment system.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all CEOs who participated in the survey and shared their valuable insights. [ Challenge Operations Entry Limit Improvement ]Currently, CounterSide offers various currencies through Challenge stages that open on specific days of the week.However, missing out on a Challenge stage on its designated day results in a lost opportunity to obtain those currencies.To address this inconvenience, we will change so that while the days on which Challenge stages open remain the same, the number of entries will be consolidated every week. [ Balance Adjustment for Employees and Ship ]We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all CEOs for your continued interest in and feedback on the balance between employees and ships.We understand that CEOs are very passionate about this aspect of the game, and the development team is constantly monitoring the balance. We approach any balance adjustments with caution as hasty changes can significantly impact various in-game combat environments, in both PvP and PvE.Each employee and ship in CounterSide possesses unique skills and abilities. Our goal is for all employees and ships to be utilized in content according to their specific characteristics, allowing CEOs to form squads tailored to different content.However, we've identified certain employees and ships that, compared to others, possess excessive performance relative to their cost or have a broader range of utility, which we believe is impacting the overall game balance.Therefore, we plan to adjust the balance of these employees and ships to align with their intended roles while preserving their core functionalities as much as possible.Additionally, we aim to equalize the cost value of employees and ships used in combat. This will help preserve the individual cost value of each employee while encouraging the use of other employees and ships that were previously less frequently used due to the imbalance.The balance adjustment patch will be implemented in two phases in October. The first is on October 2nd, and the second is on October 23rd.The specific employees to be adjusted are as follows:■ List of Employees Scheduled for Balance Adjustments in the First Phase- Joint Investigation Kang Soyoung- Levia Thanis- Spira- Lily- Raphaela Juri the Evil Chaser ■ List of Employees and Ship Scheduled for Balance Adjustments in the Second Phase- The Elemental and the Beast Shepherd & Lurcher- Six Wings Lee Jisoo- Hero Blossom Kaci Bins- Hidden Challenger Kim Chulsoo- TempestPlease refer to the patch notes for detailed information about the upcoming balance adjustments.While our goal is to ensure that the adjusted employees can continue to be used effectively in combat, we understand that the performance of these employees may feel significantly different after the adjustments.Some of the employees targeted for balance adjustments were either released with excessive power or received significant power increases due to the Alternium Reactor, making balance adjustments necessary.As previously announced, we planned to closely monitor the impact of these employees in the game for the first two weeks after their release and implement appropriate measures such as recalls.However, due to new systems like [Tactical Update] and the [Alternium Reactor] introduced through the employee growth system, we needed to develop new internal policies and additional features for the recall system. This has caused a delay in implementing recalls for these employees and consequently, the balance adjustments as well.We apologize for the delay in addressing the urgent need for balance adjustments and the late notification.With the completion of the development of policies related to [Tactical Update] and the [Alternium Reactor] implemented in the recall system, we will be proceeding with recalls for the employees targeted for balance adjustments. The recall period will be four weeks.Upon recalling an employee, all the growth materials invested will be refunded. If the recalled employee has undergone [Tactical Update], CEOs will receive an equivalent number of employees to the level of Tactical Update levels of the original employee.For ships, the command modules and lock status of the recalled ship will be transferred to the ship you select.We will provide more detailed information about the recall function and the target employees in future patch notes.We understand that it's impossible to satisfy all CEOs when it comes to balance adjustments, as everyone has their favorite employees and ships.Given the keen interest in employees and ships, the development team will continue to closely monitor the balance and overall game environment to provide a more satisfying gaming experience.[ Update Speed Adjustment ] As mentioned in our developer's note in May 2024, we informed our global CEOs that we would be accelerating the update schedule to provide new content as quickly as the Korean server.While we have been able to deliver new content rapidly to our global CEOs through frequent updates, we also understand that there might have been some inconveniences. Therefore, after the release of [The Guiding Sun] and [Aditya Surya] scheduled for this October, we will be adjusting the update speed. However, this does not mean we will stop providing new content simultaneously with the Korean server.
